ADC Airlines is owned by the Aviation
Development Company plc. a Nigerian company incorporated in
December 1984 primarily to provide support services to the
aviation industry both in Nigeria and in the West African

January 1991.
Populated by a
dedicated workforce led by a management team committed to
the ideals upon which the airlines was conceived, ADC
Airlines soon became the byword for excellent service in a
short time. The airlines grew rapidly in popularity and
became renowned for the reliability of its schedule and for
its courteous service.
By 1986 and at the
height of its operations, ADC Airlines operated 7 aircraft;
3 Boeing 727-200, 3 BAC 1-11, 1 Boeing 707 (Cargo) and 1
ATR42-320 and commanded 42% of the domestic flying

It became inevitable
in 1994 for Aviation Development Company to transform into a
public liability company trading its stock at the Nigerian
Stock Exchange. Aviation Development Company plc is
currently owned by some 12,000 shareholders. It is worthy of
note that Aviation Development Company Plc, was the first

Stock Exchange.
By February 2002,
the company had sufficiently restructured its operations and
to be in the position to acquire a Boeing 737. It resumed
operations on the 15th day of the same month.
Presently ADC Airlines has four Boeing 737-200 aircraft in
her fleet.
The goodwill ADC
Airlines enjoyed in the past appears not to have been
completely eroded leading to impressive performance since
resumption of its operations in 2002. currently, within
Nigeria, ADC Airlines currently flies to Abuja, Calabar,
Port-Harcourt, Sokoto and Yola from its Lagos operational
base. In addition to these routes, ADC Airlines provide a
